Crownmark In Practice
A commitment to clarity, transparency, and professional responsibility shapes our firm. We approach each matter with care and discipline, taking the time to understand the broader context in which our clients are making decisions. Legal issues rarely exist in isolation, and our role is to provide advice that is grounded in law, informed by experience, and tailored to the realities our clients face.
Crownmark Lawyers places a strong emphasis on clear communication and structured advice. Clients are kept informed at every stage of their matter, with options clearly explained in a way that enables confident and informed decision-making. We believe that effective legal advice should reduce uncertainty, not add to it.
Our work is guided by practical judgement and a focus on outcomes that are sustainable and appropriate for each client’s circumstances. Whether acting on a discrete transaction or a more complex matter, we apply the same level of care, attention to detail, and professional rigour. This approach reflects our belief that trust is built through consistency, accountability, and the quality of advice delivered over time.

The Managing Partner
Crownmark Lawyers is led by Harjit Mahindroo, whose practice is informed by experience across a broad range of legal areas, including commercial and property matters, immigration, family law, wills and estates, and NDIS-related advice. His approach to legal practice is grounded in careful analysis, clear communication, and an understanding that each area of law brings its own sensitivities, risks, and practical considerations.
Harjit’s professional background includes work across transactional, advisory, and client-focused matters, allowing him to navigate both technical legal issues and the personal or operational circumstances that often sit behind them. This breadth of experience enables a considered and adaptable approach, whether advising on business and property matters, supporting clients through family or estate planning issues, or assisting with immigration and NDIS-related concerns.
In addition to his legal qualifications, Harjit is a Registered Public Accountant (IPA), which informs his ability to assess financial implications, structure advice carefully, and approach matters with a broader commercial and practical perspective where relevant. Clients value advice that is clear, measured, and realistic, particularly when matters span multiple areas of law or involve significant personal or financial decisions.
Harjit is admitted to practise in Victoria and the High Court of Australia. His work is guided by a strong commitment to professional responsibility, transparency, and sound judgment, with each matter approached thoughtfully and with the level of care it deserves.

"We cut through complexity to deliver clear advice and real outcomes."
